About Us

STF UMN is an independent student-led campus chapter of the international nonprofit organization She’s the First. The purpose of STF UMN is to promote the importance of education equality and global citizenship at the University of Minnesota. Through fundraising events, STF UMN will provide academic scholarships to girls in low-income countries within the She’s the First partner network.

Our Values: 

• Fundraising: ​​raising money to support our scholars as they pursue their education

• Global Awareness: learning more about our local community as well as our global community

• Advocacy: speaking up for what we believe in, grounded in the conviction that all individuals are created equal

• Inclusivity: inviting all individuals to use their voice and celebrating differences in race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, opinion, etc.

• Community Building: bringing members together to build collaborative and supportive relationships

We have our spring 2021 meetings every other Wednesday in over zoom from 6pm to 7pm. All University of Minnesota students are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there! Join our newsletter to learn more!
